What Inner Compass is

An invitation to pause. To clear what no longer serves. And to reconnect with the part of you that already knows.

So often, we move through life carrying tension, noise, expectations, old stories, overstimulation, and nervous system stress that slowly disconnect us from ourselves. We lose touch with our body, our intuition, our values, our vision, and the deeper knowing underneath it all.

Held in the beautiful nature of Sri Lanka, surrounded by jungle, lake views, and close to the ocean, Inner Compass weaves together nervous system regulation, breathwork, embodiment, meditation, movement, energy work, intuitive exploration, ritual, sound healing, reflection, and nature immersion into one deeply held experience.

Three phases

One week, three movements.

The week is structured around three core phases. Each builds on the last, slowly clearing what has been held, opening space to reconnect, and integrating what comes through into a grounded sense of direction.

I.

Clear

Release the emotional, energetic, and mental residue of the past year. Breath, body, somatic work to soften what has been held.

II.

Reconnect

Come back to your body, your inner signals, your sense of self. Sound, meditation, intuitive practice, deep rest.

III.

Re-align

Translate what is coming through into clarity. Direction, vision, integration, for how you want to live the year ahead.

A day at the retreat

A rhythm that regulates the system.

Days hold practice in the morning, integration midday, deeper work in the afternoon, and ceremony or stillness at night. There is always time to rest, eat well, and be by the water.

  5. 16:30
    Afternoon practice

Deeper work, sound, energy, or intuitive exploration.

Your guide

Farah Bernard and her team of facilitators.

I work at the intersection of psychology, the nervous system, and the body.

My approach is rooted in the understanding that our experiences are not only stored as memories or thoughts, but as somatic imprints, patterns held in the body, in the breath, and in the way we respond to life.

Stress, trauma, and emotional experiences shape our internal world over time, not just in what we think, but in how we feel, move, and relate to ourselves.

My work focuses on helping people access, release, and integrate these patterns through direct experience in the body.

Over the years, I’ve come to see that the body doesn’t just store our history, it also holds a deep intelligence. It reveals what still needs to be seen. What hasn’t been fully felt. And what is ready to shift. This retreat is built on that understanding.

Through a combination of breathwork, somatic practices, movement, sound, and guided introspection, I create a space where you can safely explore what lives beneath the surface, release what no longer serves, and reconnect with your inner clarity, intuition, and direction.

My work is trauma-informed, with the body as the primary entry point, supporting not only release, but integration and lasting change.

Honest fit

Is this for you?

This is for you if…

  • You are carrying stress, emotional weight, mental noise or old patterns that you are ready to explore and release.
  • You want to experience inner work through the body, breath, movement, sound, meditation and reflection, not only through the mind.
  • You feel ready to step away from your usual rhythm and create space to truly reconnect with yourself.
  • You are moving through a transition, entering a new chapter or longing for greater clarity and alignment.
  • You are drawn to a retreat that combines meaningful inner work with beautiful surroundings, nourishing food, nature, rest and moments of pleasure.
  • You are open to slowing down, becoming more present and listening to what your body and inner wisdom are asking for.

This may not be for you if…

  • ·You are looking for a fully unstructured holiday without guided practices or inner exploration.
  • ·You are currently in an acute emotional or psychological crisis and require more individual or clinical support than a group retreat can provide.
  • ·You are not comfortable participating in breathwork, somatic practices, meditation, movement or reflective exercises.
  • ·You are looking exclusively for a yoga retreat, as yoga and movement are only a small part of the wider experience.
  • ·You are not currently willing to create some distance from work, daily responsibilities and outside distractions in order to be present with the experience.

From the practice

What people say afterwards.

"Farah created a space where I felt safe enough to meet parts of myself I had kept at a distance for years. I left feeling more connected, supported and able to be there for myself."
"I had no idea how much I had been carrying in my body and how it was impacting me in my daily life. I left feeling lighter, more in tune and more at home in myself. Ready to tackle life and connect to my intuition."
"Something became clear during the experience. I stopped looking outside of myself for answers and began trusting my own inner direction. I left with more clarity, energy and motivation for what comes next."
"I had forgotten what it felt like to slow down without guilt and simply enjoy being present with myself. I left feeling rested, open and connected to a sense of joy I hadn’t felt in a long time."
